Help on using the Search pane

Limit to

Using the following 2 options, you can restrict the gas stations listed when you click on the Search button.

1. Zip: 5-digit zip code to narrow the search (required).
   Zip codes "like" the zip code entered (enter at least the first 3 digits). Zip codes "near" the zip code entered (enter all 5 digits).
   By "near", we mean stations that are in the geographic vicinity of a few miles.
2. Co.: Stations belonging to all gas companies or a specific one.

Order by

Using the following 2 criteria, you can request the gas stations to be listed in the order you wish, with one caveat: The paid subscribers, i.e. those gas stations who pay to become members of this service will ALWAYS show up at the top of the list, if they are listed at all, based on the "Limit to" criteria. Thus, the list is ordered by either 2 or 3 "sort keys", depending on whether "None" or another value is chosen for "Prefix".

1. Prefix: Defaults to date last modified. The other alternatives are "None", zip code and gas company name.
2. Price: Price of low, medium or high octane gas or diesel.

2. U.S. gas price averages: This lists average prices by zip code, city and state, based on stations across the United States whose gas prices have been updated recently. This may list anywhere from a day's to a week's worth of updates - the actual number of days may be adjusted by gasprice.com depending on the number of updates.
